You can come to KIMOLOS CAVE RESIDENCE by bus or taxi from the port of Psathi. The distance from the port is about 3 km and from the Village of Kimolos about 2 km. If you visit the island by car or motorbike you can park it near the cave accommodation. Free public parking is available nearby.
If you visit the island by private boat, you can “moor” it at the pier next to the cave which can accommodate small boats. At a distance of 5 minutes (on foot) there is a bus stop to the village, the port and the other beaches of the island. We suggest you rent a vehicle (car, scooter, etc.) so you can explore the island.
KIMOLOS CAVE RESIDENCE is decorated with excellent taste, soft lighting and great attention to detail and creates just the right atmosphere providing warmth, cleanliness and the ideal space for a perfect experience. KIMOLOS CAVE RESIDENCE is located among the historic cave houses of the settlement “Agios Nikolaos“, a quiet seaside port, ideal for anyone who wants to enjoy the Kimolos’ culture with peace and quiet, providing the visitor with the possibility of mooring a boat. The house is a former “sirma” that looks like a cave, dug into a soft rock that was originally used to protect fishing boats from the winter winds and was turned into a luxury holiday home.
An independent and seaside cave with a large living room that includes a partially equipped kitchen, a bedroom with a double bed, a sofa that can accommodate a third person, a bathroom and a small courtyard on the sea.
Private sun loungers are also available. All modern appliances are provided for your comfort and convenience to have an unforgettable stay. The house also includes a refrigerator, kettle, coffee maker.
A flat-screen TV, toiletries and free Wi-Fi are also available. Beach towels are also provided. It is delivered clean and during the stay, Room cleaness and change of towels and bed linen are offered, applying all the required cleaning protocols.
Kimolos Cave Residence is what the locals call a “Sirma”; historic cave houses that used to store fishing boats during the harsh weather of the winter months.
This was necessary since all fishing boats used to be made from wood, and could easily be damaged if they were slammed to the rocky shore by waves.
The original owner of this “Sirma”, Ieronymos, also used to store fishing equipment like nets or longlines, as well as maintenance equipment for the boat itself.
Nowadays it functions as a luxurious holiday home, accepting visitors from all over the world.
The KIMOLOS CAVE RESIDENCE is built on two levels and access can be a bit difficult for the elderly and people with mobility problems. Ideal for up to 3 people.Pets are not allowed. Nudity is not allowed. Cooking is not allowed.
